Overview
Virtualizor, the VPS control panel, supports 2FA for both admin and end-user logins. This significantly reduces the risk of account compromise from stolen passwords.
Steps to Enable 2FA in Virtualizor (End-User):
-
Log in to Your Virtualizor Panel
-
Typically via a link provided by your hosting provider (e.g.,
https://yourserverip:4083).
-
-
Go to Account Settings
-
Click on your username (top right corner) and choose Two Factor Authentication from the menu.
-
-
Enable 2FA
-
Select Enable 2FA.
-
A QR code will appear on the screen.
-
-
Set Up in Authenticator App
-
Open your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.).
-
Add a new account and scan the QR code.
-
-
Verify the Code
-
Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app into Virtualizor’s verification field.
-
Click Enable 2FA or Save.
-
-
Test the Login
-
Log out and log back in to confirm that the 2FA prompt appears.
-
Notes for Admin Users:
-
Admins can enforce 2FA for all users from the Virtualizor Admin Panel under Configuration → Master Settings → Two Factor Authentication.
Tips:
-
Keep a backup method to access your account in case your phone is lost.
-
Avoid SMS-based 2FA if possible; app-based 2FA is more secure.
